Look
Poem by Jessica "Dazel" Valadez
Art by Thuy Ngo

Look...
A drenched napkin dipped in her tears.
Look at those swollen eyes, full of sadness and fears.
A half empty beer bottle with the residue of her lipstick wrapped around the rim.
Her chances of ever believing in love are being cut slim.
Can you hear the song from the speakers being sung..
"Tu Solo Tu"...cause "You Only You" have caused this pain
Can't you hear her singing. "Tu, solo Tu. Has llenado de luto mi vida Abriendo una herida en mi corazon"
Cause you only you have filled my life with sorrow. Opening a wound in my heart.
She sings from her heart cause she relates to this pain
Being taken for granted then getting thrown into the rain.
The inner pain that can't be seen, but could be felt by only her
Her innocence and beauty, but your insecurities is her murderer.
Still she cries cause it wasn't supposed to end this way.
You were her best friend, her joy at the end of the day.
In denial of how you treated her,
She could only ask why did you do let it happen to her?
There's those moments when she has her emotional breakdowns.
But the both of you know she deserves a crown.
You say that you care for her but you're not in love,
