What Am I

By: Rheba Cole

Am I the light of a candle?
Its shadow upon the wall?
A word unheard?
An object unseen?
No, I am not those things.
I am a living being,
not a rock shall go through me, but around me
Nor shall the wind blow me down,
but pick me up and give me strenght to carry on.
I am a living being
No better, no worse

What I Want

By: Gloria Russell

Sometimes when I feel like
giving up my heart tells my mind
/////////////////////////to please shut up

For now I love who I am today
and I would not for anything
///////////////////////////// give that away

For I only want what is right
//////////////////////////////////////// for me

and I want a life that can be
?||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| drug free

I know in my heart that I
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||   can do this

Only now I have to go out
||||||||||||||||||||||||||| and really prove it

ÒMomÓ
Shelly Rodriguez Quiroz

We have been through hell and back no matter what you are my mom till our end. At times we wouldn't see eye to eye, but I remember laughing until we'd cry.

As a young girl it didn't matter what you'd say, as a woman I believe in you each and everyday. The life you have given me wasn't right or wrong. It was a way you only new of and faith made us strong. Here and now mom what I say is all true I'm glad you're my mom and I truly do Love you.
