A New Me in 2006

With the beginning of the new year we asked the women of workfurlough what changes they'd like to see for themselves in 2006. Here's what they said lies ahead for them.

Getting Back on the Right Track
By Veronica Art by Jodi Kerswell

For my new year, I plan on getting out of WRC, going to NA meetings with my husband, working on me, start massage therapy classes. I would like to go back to work, but most of all move out of California and back to Mississippi. Then work on the love and respect for my husband, my son, parents and most of all myself.

This Year is Going to be Dedicated to To My Family
Maria Langoria

New changes in my life in 2006 would be for me to live a clean and sober life. Be more positive of the choices I make and work on gettingmy trust back from my children. Be the grandmother that my grand kids need.

I am working on being more caring and honest to my spouse. I see myself dedicating some of my time to elderly people. Work on my education, getting more training on computer programs.

My spiritual life will change as well, I want to keep working on my relationship with God. I do not want to take any negative energy that would lead me back to jail. I have been here too many times, and now it's time to live my life to the fullest.

This Year I will be Grounded
Cindy Jeffries

I would like to have a few things for this year. Enjoyment in the tasks of school and my job, mostly a feeling of security of being grounded in living day to day within myself, and God's grace always.
