When the Minute Men Come to Town

The Common Wealth Club scheduled a debate at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in San Jose between Art Torres (former state senator) and a Chris Simcox, co-founder of the Minutemen -- an independent armed group that monitors the Arizona Mexican American border from undocumented immigrants crossing . The debate was supposed to take place on Mexican Independence Day, September 16th. The debate was recheduled to a different date due to pressure from the local community. On De-Bug's Block to Block radio, communi ty member Rochelle Migliore speaks on how the whole event is racist and how Art Torres is not a true representative of the migrant community.
