Invasion or Immigration? Allow me to paint a picture for you -- of a land of great beauty, true freedom, and of a unique and beautiful people that lived as one with this land. Some of these people were nomadic, moving along with herds or with the seasons. Others were settled and only moved as needed or just for a new change of scenery or perhaps to spread their culture and influence. Point being is that they moved or migrated with out limitations. The proof of their migrations or traveling through out this land is the documentation of these people's similarities. For the land in which I speak of is the great Turtle Island now known as the continent of the Americas. This continent was truly free until the arrival of a people from the great seas. The native people of this land did not know what to do about the alien European immigrants who popped up all over our coasts and all dealt with the situation differently. However, the native people dealt with the invasion (for that is what it truly turned out to be), and the out come was the same all around. No cultures were ultimately integrated and united in harmony, the exact opposite happened as a matter of fact, a culture was destroyed and genocide took it's course through biological weapons and warfare following immediately after. For the European diseases traveled much faster than did their weapons, and thus you have today's present society. And with history being what it's been, I find it interesting, pathetic, and outrageous that these invading people that came across an ocean could put restrictions and limitations on this continent's native inhabitants. I'm specifically speaking of the migration of people whom are native to this continent that are south of the UNITED SNAKES OF AMERICA, primarily Mexicans come to mind, but I am also speaking of central and south Americans. To my readers, ask yourself ии what is a Mexican? They are not Europeans, or of European origin, and this does not include those of Spanish descent living in Mexico. Mexicans are a people who for over 500 years have been pushed into assimilation of Spanish culture and language and have lost their native ways for the most part but their blood speaks for itself. Look on any world map and you'll where Spain lies and that's Europe, not anywhere near our Turtle Island. This continent was merely cut up into colonies by different European nations and where they could not destroy the native people, they tried to absorb them through assimilation, colonization, and different forms of genocide. Native people should be able to come and go as their birthright. So who is the true invader?
