Latino Immigrants Reconstruct New Orleans

Workers from all over Latin America have come to New Orleans to build back up what Katrina has destroyed. This video offers interviews with these workers on what they make of New Orleans, as well as interviews with home-owners on how they view the immigrant workforce who are rebuilding the city.

It is no suprise that yet again WE (Latinos) are builiding the country, in a sence nursing it back to heath.. it is nothing new that our people build this country, and for $3,200 bucks we give u new
cabinets, .. and it is no shock that we are being discriminated against for our skills,and our labor.. but what does penetrate my soul and inspires me, is the eyes of my people. to see them, look so sad, and tired, but still taking it as it comes makes me feel strong in my own way. They dont give up, they fight, they "come here, no bullshit, and get it done" that's us.. the brown hands.
