Knew nothing about you till this evening
When time grabbed my thin wrist and pulled me up
I felt everything around me so dark
That there was nothing else except your hand.
Knew nothing about sadness till tears flowed
From your eyes in torrents on my closed palms
The moments were counted in round drop by drop
And washed away all my dream creations.
Knew nothing about the glance of living
Till your words could intrude on my deep soul
Keep me focused on the chances of life
From the beginning till the very end.
Knew nothing about the silver moon beam
|
Till it came and sit on my lean shoulder
Put a lamp on the corner of my heart
Lit a fire to remove the darkness.
