Shimmering Rose Petals

rose petals scattered
and shaken against the ground
sparkling with dew in the morning sun
awaken
a new day is born
live to breathe
a fragrance all your own
glorify in the soul
of your human form
follow the path
down the road less traveled upon,
rebel against nothing sacred,
rejoice in a life
meant to be
for God has given it to you
rejuvenate life
as it expands dimensions
yet to be seen, yet to be noticed
rose petals shimmer
when they perform a little dance
as the sun sets
and the soul rests
from a days journey of well-being,
defeating the wicked at heart,
encompassing love and kindness,
accomplishing forgiveness |
