Why should we wait for the cops to give the ok?
The ok to march
The struggle we have been in from the start
Why must we wait to express our opinion of our government or how we feel?
I thought we were free?
Why must we wait for the man to hate and try and stop us
from our mass demonstrations
Why must we wait to educate our people of our great capabilities once?
We are together in Unity
Why must we wait for someone to give us the ok to march on our land?
I just don't understand why we cannot have our freedom of speech
Is this not part of the American Dream?

Why must we wait to suffer through more heartache?
Why wait to make a change
Why must we wait while we break our backs picking grapes?
Making less than 5 dollars a day is this how we will remain?
Why must we wait?
Tell me why wait for someone to give you the okay to do what is right
Why must we wait to end the hate?
Why can't we be free the way we were meant to be
That is our Manifest Destiny to be free and in peace with no harassment from the beast
Why must we wait?
Together united we won't be divided
Unless we waitÉ
For the ok to do what is right
To keep up the fight, to be set free from the chains that keep us from unity.
