Walking As One
Hundreds of Students Take Over City Hall in Redwood City
Photo Essay by Charisse Domingo

In protest of immigration laws being debated in Congress, students from East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City staged a district-wide walk out of Sequoia Union School District on April 6, 2006.   The students were from various racial backgrounds, from all grades, and even brought teachers with them. Over 300 students from the different schools all came together to meet at the Redwood City Hall Plaza, where they shook up the usually quite area.
