Family
Poem by Yvette Cosio // Art by Fernando Amaro Jr.
10 th grade Overfelt High School
Our family is like gold
Their love will never get old
They might yell, they might fight,
But it will always be quiet at night
Sometimes they are not fair
But always keep on mind that they do care
Having a family is the best thing ever
They raise you to be smart and clever
So love your family until they're gone
And when it is time, move on
Think of all the memories you shared
And after all they still cared.

It is wonderful when you have a family that cares for each other through the fights and disagreements. Often feelings get hurt and some people don't know how to let go. Thanks for the poem.
