Combination Sentiment
Poem by: Margot T. // Art by Fernando Amaro

Don't be rash
Calm your inner tempest
And I will cull you a lullaby
To soothe your raw throat
Think not of extremities
Of fleeing the dirt or
Showing your soap opera anguish
Remember that your adolescent days
Of barelled pettiness are numbered
And you are meant for better things.
I can be your fragmented liberation
Try to uncomplicate confusing thoughts
In this summer sweetness
Cradle your head
Trace the flighty aphorisms of my world
Fulfill the various crevices in yours
Tonight I was swimming
Through stuffy beats
A sea of complications
And forgotten bottle caps
Discarded paper joints
To get to you
And your sincerity
