People came from cities away and many San JosŽ neighbors showed up to continue the pressure on Calpine Corporation to back down on their proposal to build a power plant on Sacred lands in Medicine Lake, near Mt. Shasta. Indigenous people from five Native American tribes and other environmental justice supporters were present on the block in front of Calpine headquarters in Downtown San JosŽ to nonviolently defend Medicine Lake from the disastrous effects that a power plant would have and also the disrespect it would be to be built on sacred lands of native people.

As the two folks went to deliver the eviction notice inside, the dimly lit hall was quiet except for the occasional flash from a camera. Outside the protestors sang a song that seemed to bring calmness over everyone. A representative was asked to come down from their offices so that the eviction notice could be presented. After waiting several minutes though the people were told that no one was going to come down. The two members spoke to the representative down there already, reading the notice and taping it to the door of the building for all to see.
