The Perfect Crime
The bandits long ago stole all of our heartsÉremoving them and riding off into the nightÉtaking them to the NorthÉhiding them in the SouthÉselling them in the EastÉand sacrificing them in the West, where they were held up high above the crowdsÉthieves crept into our dreary huts and captured our only loveÉwe stood full of tears as they flew off into the twilightÉonly the vibrations of stars to comfort the children belowÉthe frozen air entered our chestsÉescaping our bodies even colder then beforeÉthe criminals laughed during their campaign of lustÉbags slung across their shouldersÉBandits long ago stole all of our heartsÉand we cried because our voices weren't loud enough to say a wordÉ
