A
Revolutionary
Poem by Cyrus
Art by Fernando Amaro
tormented minds
layin dormant until it's time
time to start the revolution
nothing but confusion
that you steady throwin at me
but you know you can't win this battle
you're like a lamb to the slaughter
and i'm that fire starter
makin real the sacrifice
and feedin the flame
cause i'm that live wire
i'm gettin it flowin
i keep going on
as my pen drops bombs
raising lazarus from his grave
my soul igniting these pages
constantly bringing life
to all the weary
but you don't hear me
your ears have gone deaf
you aren't seeing clearly
that you're dealing with death
and life's thread
has met the scissors
and the revolution
will not be televised
for it's a manifestation
of our daily struggles in life
my light will continue to shine
i won't let anyone snuff it out
