A man with a journal
is a man with a vent
confession out in writing
helps a man repent

Tellin the truth
isn't an easy thing to do
gettin' yourself outta lies
shit, it's as sticky as glue

It's better to stay
on "the clean side of town"
by lieing and stealing
you'll always be down

Being oppressed
not by others, by you
coming clean
isn't a hard thing to do.
